Tim Shephard host of Vintage Airstream Podcast sent RVWheelLife an email saying that he recently installed four flexible solar panels on his 1960 Airstream.
“A major benefit for Airstream owners is the panels curve to the roof and are virtually invisible,” he said.
Shephard indicated that after much research, he selected Go Power Solar-Flex panels. Each 100 watt panel is 42-inch long x 21-inch wide and can be installed with screws or adhesive. Shephard opted for the “more is better” philosophy and decided on installing four panels for a total of 400 watts.
“The kit is fairly simple,” said Shephard. “It includes the 100W panel, charger controller, and 50′ of MC4 cable.”
