“I got into RVing because I thought winter camping would be more comfy in a Scamp than in a tent,” said longtime tent camper Catherine Woods of Asheville, NC.

This winter has been her maiden voyage in her 2014 13-foot fiberglass Scamp travel trailer. She has spent much of January and February in Arizona’s state and county parks.

She admits that she has made a few small mistakes.

“It has been a challenge,” she said, “but I’ve always liked being challenged and think it is necessary for keeping a vibrant lifestyle. I never was in an RV nor pulled a trailer, but thought it must be in me to do it.”
