High winds in Denio Junction, Nev.

Spending the night in Denio Junction, Nev., at the only gas station/motel/bar/grill/cum RV waystation. Don’t think this can be called an “RV destination,” however, in the middle of a major weather front moving through, you takes what you can gets.

$10 gets you electricity. Boondock for free. We opted for the electricity.

We checked out the Virgin Valley Campground on the Shelton National Wildlife Refuge of Nevada Hwy. 140 and while it was free, we decided to pass it up because of the wild winds whipping in from the north.
