Overnight dry camping stops at SKP RoVer’s Roost in Casa Grande, Az; SKP Dream Catcher in Deming, NM
To backtrack just a little, after a week in Yuma, we needed to cover some ground so we opted for overnight stops in dry camping at the Escapees’ RV parks near Casa Grande, Ariz. and again in Deming, NM.
At the RoVer’s Roost RV Park in Casa Grande we parked by another Northern Lites truck camper packing a canoe. Inside this look-a-like RV were Joyce and Larry Space of Vermont who had just returned from an extended trip into Mexico. This was not the first time we had crossed paths. Earlier this year they had stayed for a short time at our home park (SKP Timber Valley) in southern Oregon.
If you go:
RoVer’s Roost RV Park

Winter office hours
8 a.m – noon; 1 – 5 p.m.
Rates: Daily – $16; Dry Camping – $5/night + tax , with the second night free, 7 night limit.
The following day we put in close to 300 miles (passing through Tucson at morning rush hour), climbed gradually up the Continental Divide, and stopped overnight at the SKP Dream Catchers RV Park in Deming, NM.
If you go:
Dream Catchers RV Park
400 E Pine St

Besides the hot showers, the best feature about this park is its convenient access to I-10 … take Exit 85 for an easy off and on. Of course, because of the close proximity to the interstate, it may get a little noise.
