A wonderful young family will build new memories in our former 1992 8.6-foot S&S truck camper. This past week, we signed over the title to 30-somethings Scott and Alice Moon of Spokane, Wash.
(This next week, we will pick up our new 2005 10.2-foot Northern Lite Classic camper in Oregon. Both of these transactions were make possible thanks to the magic of Craigslist.)
With Jimmy’s coaching, Scott skillfully backed his red pickup neatly under the camper with only one slight adjustment. The S&S fits perfectly on the Moons’ 80s-vintage 3/4-ton truck–just like it was meant to be.
Scott, a second-year nursing student; Alice, a registered nurse at a Spokane hospital; and their two boys, Vincent (4) and Nolan (1) are looking forward to their first camping and fishing trip.
Scott, who also works a part-time job, longs for quiet escapes to some of the Inland Northwest’s lakes and national forest lands.
Alice is also excited about spending more time in the outdoors. She says the last time she remembers camping was when she was around six years old. And as for the boys, “Vincent has already packed his backpack,” smiles Alice.
