Tire blew on Interstate east of Lexington

JeromeSmith_JulianneGCraneSmall mishap about 10 miles east of Lexington, Kentucky. We were traveling west around 55 mph in the slow lane on I-64 when we started hearing a high pitched whirling noise, looked at each other, and blam the tire blew.

Jimmy managed to successfully edge over to the side of the Interstate. I called AAA. Four hours and three roadside service dispatches later, we were back on the road thanks to Jeremy Smith, roadside repair mechanic with Robert’s Heavy Duty Towing of Lexington. Truck and camper undamaged … excepted for a broken brake fluid line and new tire.
