Sausalito, Calif., (just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco) still holds a great deal of charm. There is certainly plenty to do for a full day including dozens of art galleries.
There are several nearby RV parks and campgrounds.
As they say, this “quint town” has ‘Mediterranean flair and fabulous views” of San Francisco Bay.
