Recently Jimmy and I signed up to work a Habitat for Humanity RV Care-a-Vanner build in Sebring, Florida, in early December. The Care-a-Vanner program is a wonderful way for RVers to travel and help our larger community.

The need for volunteers “continues to be great, and there are many opportunities to contribute,” writes Mary Campbell, coordinator of the Habitat’s RV Care-A-Vanner program. Find a build now on the online build listing or ongoing RV host sites.

One upcoming build that is “hurting” for volunteers is Rigdgeland, SC (Hilton Head Affiliate), according to Mary. The affiliate “needs 6 rigs for a Sept. 26 build, folks are canceling out of that due to illness.”

If interested in more information about joining any of the builds, contact Mary at 1-800-422-4828, Ext. 7534, or e-mail rvinfodesk@habitat.org
