Heading toward Wallace, Idaho

Share

Today, it’s off for a two-day trip to historic Wallace, Idaho.

Three friends are bicycling east along the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes from Plummer Trailhead (in Washington state) 64.6 miles to Wallace. I’m driving the “sag wagon” over to Wallace and plan to bike west along the trail about ten miles to meet up with them.

There are a couple of campgrounds that accommodate RVs near Wallace. I plan to check out the Down by the Depot RV Park near downtown Wallace (only a couple hundred feet from the bike trail).

We’ll spend the night and walk around Wallace on Monday. Let you know what we find in this old mining town that is famous as the “Silver Capital of the World.”
