Favorite RV Holiday memories–here is Chuck Woodbury’s, what’s yours?

In the Nov. 17, 2012,  RV Travel Newsletter, editor Chuck Woodbury recounts a Thanksgiving 23 years ago when he and his future wife spent the holiday with his parents camping at Cattail Cove State Park, along the shores of Lake Havasu in Arizona.

His parents had organized a Thanksgiving dinner at their campsite.

“I remember helping haul picnic tables from neighboring sites to accommodate the large crowd. By the time we were ready to sit down, the wine and beer supply was already under serious assault and, with it, ample laughter,” recalls Chuck.

“It was one of my best Thanksgivings ever. Now, my parents gone, I wish I could have a couple of hours of that wonderful afternoon back. Thinking about that day makes me both sad and happy–sad that my parents are no longer around, but happy that I experienced that wonderful moment in time.”
