Navigating around Washington, D.C.

It feels like one is navigating through water today in Washington, D.C. It’s pouring rain … accompanied by the high winds caused by Tropical Storm Hanna.

I do love the Metro system in D.C. Even with the soaking rains spinning through the area, the Metro keeps running underground.

Maya Angelou (80 this year) was brilliant and inspiration this morning at the AARP Live @ 50 Closing Session. Chicago blew the roof off the Washington Convention Center at last night’s early concert … followed by the elegant and sassy sounds of the classy Ramsey Lewis in a more intimate Legends of Jazz Concert. Tonight it’s Paul Simon for the closing concert.
