“When I left home, I set aside two months for this coast-to-coast trip. I felt I had lots of time. I could go my usual snail’s pace on back roads, stopping to snap a photo or talk to a cowboy or farmer, or even visit with readers of this newsletter. Not so…. I have pretty much raced (by my standards) … I have passed through incredibly beautiful country.
