After a cold and fairly damp winter at SKP Park of the Sierras, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, there has been a splendid series of warmer spring-like days.
During this time of the year, snow is beginning to melt at the higher levels of nearby Yosemite National Park feeding historic Coarsegold Creek that runs through the SKP RV park.
Manzinata trees are full of pink blossoms. Native birds, including jays and woodpeckers, are returning in force and building their nests. Resident humans are pulling out their hiking shorts.
