Week 2, Day 3 – Retirees are backbone of the cabinet crew at Habitat in Sebring

Lots of cabinets.

Together they have install dozens of cabinets and counter tops for the Habitat homes in Sebring.

Both spend about half the year in the Lake Placid-Sebring area of Florida. Shutts retired in 1987 as a rural mail carrier in Waynesville, Ohio.

Whitesides of Kingston, Tenn., retired in 1994 after 35 years as a nuclear engineer, many of them with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
