Professional photographer Fran Reisner pulls back from fulltime RVing

Share

FranReisner_ZionFran Reisner started RVing fulltime in September 2011 after she sold her house, her photography studio, and most of her possessions in Texas to travel the country in a 2010 35.5 foot Winnebago Adventurer, she affectionately referred to as “The Beast.”

Fran recently relinquished her “full-time road warrior” status to be closer to family in her hometown of Longview, Wash.

“I always envisioned finding my way back to the northwest,” writes Fran, “and would most likely have been here sooner if not for my ‘grand adventure.’ THAT was a very spontaneous decision, and one I will never regret.”

ArchesNP_FranReisnerThe “grand adventure” Fran is referring to is more than three years and 80,000 miles of RVing solo through all the lower 48 states and a good portion of Canada.

“It seems fitting,” Fran says, that she post “a tribute to the fabulous places I’ve experienced.” To read about her favorite places and scroll through hundreds of breathtaking photographs, click on ‘Top Eleven Favorite Places from My Three Year Long Road Trip

“As I’ve said before, this is not the end of my journey, just another fork in the road. I still have much to share, and the adventures will continue.” Fran adds, “I will continue my adventures in The Beast. I’m camped in Astoria, Ore., right now. Palouse, Wash., next week. Oregon coast with my daughter late May.”
