While reading the latest edition of the RV Travel newsletter this morning and drinking my first cup of coffee, I noticed an item on preparing a rig for winter RVing.
It caught my eye because last night temperatures fell below freezing where we are parked at 1,800-feet in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. (Snow was down to about 2,800-feet two nights ago.) We thought we would be ‘insulated’ from hard freezes by this time, but then we decided to extend our stay for a couple of weeks at the SKP Park of the Sierras.
In this instructive 15-minute video, the RV Geeks explain several steps they took to prepare their motorhome’s fresh water and sewer systems for wintertime living.
While these full-time RVers say they are not RV technicians, they are “very mechanically inclined and have learned a lot about RV systems over the years.”
