Alaska is pretty much up there in the top two or three trips all adventurous RVers have on their bucket list.
I know it is for us, along with touring the Maritime Provinces in Canada and–my personal ultimate nostalgia trip–following the fire flies up the Appalachian Mountains.
Recently I received a gentle reminder from the people at North to Alaska, an arm of the official state of Alaska vacation and travel information source, TravelAlaska.com. This great resource “is designed to offer planning suggestions as to where to go, how to get there, what to see, and what to do. And most of all, it is (Alaska’s) direct invitation to you to drive North to Alaska and see the splendor of its mountains, glaciers, coastlines, rivers, wildlife and natural wilderness for yourself.”
One day-dreaming section of the site for RVers is Alaska by Road. Among other bits of valuable information, are sections on Sample Trips, Local’s Tours, and a dazzling Video Gallery features 10 regions of the Last Frontier, including “Experiencing Alaska” below:
