Wait, wait, wait, before you say: “I can’t afford that,” let me tell you it is only $4 for day use on Tuesday. Admission to the Desert Hot Springs Spa the remainder of the week is $6 on Monday-Wednesday-Thursday; and $8 Friday-Saturday-Sunday.

This is a perfect stop for snowbirds who have been hiking and boondock camping in nearby Joshua Tree National Park who are looking for a soak and shower. We stopped for about an hour on our journey to Arizona.

JimmySmith_DHS_Spa_JulianneGCraneThe price includes use of eight natural hot mineral pools, dry sauna, and locker room changing facilities. The warmest pool was 104-degrees (see Jimmy pictured at right).

There is also a decent restaurant with inside and outside seating. The parking lot is easy access, even for the largest of rigs.
