JacqueGreen-art_JulianneGCraneIn the spring of 2016, Jacque Green, an accountant in Tulsa, Okla., didn’t know if she would make it through an unexpected medical crisis.

While in the hospital, she realized life is too short and unpredictable.  She figured she should not postpone her dream of exploring the country in her own recreation vehicle.

Johnson_JacqueGreen_JulianneGCraneIn addition to her two-year-old spaniel mix, Johnson, Jacque knew she wanted to take along supplies for her lifelong passion of painting.

Jacque carved out space in one of her RV’s storage compartments for her acrylic paints, brushes, canvases and other supplies.

Many RVers take photos of their travels, Jacque captures quick moments in her plein air sketches and paintings.

“I have been creating acrylic paintings inspired by the different places I have visited on my travels,” she says. Her colorful impressionistic canvases include landscapes of Aspens in early autumn near Creede, Colorado; pelicans on Grand Lake in Oklahoma; bluebonnets in the Hill Country of Texas; and cactus blooming in the harsh deserts of Arizona.

Next she is headed toward the west coast. “I’m planning on taking three months to get to the Olympic National Park in Washington state.  It is a place I have always wanted to see,” she says. (Update, Jacque made it to the Pacific Northwest in the summer of 2017.)

“I love this life. It is contagious.”
