Today was the second day of our second week volunteering with the Highlands County Habitat in Sebring, Florida, as part of the Habitat for Humanity RV Care-a-Vanner program.

RV Care-a-Vanner Jimmy Smith continued working with the crew on the 7th house under construction.Today they put the entire roof on the house with SIP composite panels (Structural Insulated Panels). Amazing watching it go up.

A large fork lift apparatus lifted the 8-foot wide by 14-foot long panels into place, braced by the exterior wall on the bottom and center Glulam beam on top. A crew of three secured the roof panels. No trusses are used in this construction process.
