At last, after 2-1/2 years of not being on a long, long road trip, Jimmy and I have finally hit the road on “a six-month trundle across the vast incredible lands of our America,” writes Jimmy in his first post of our meander.

As with many adventures, one has to be ready for a few complications along the way. Little did we know that on our third day out, one entire side of our little Chalet hard-sided pop-up trailer would pull away from it’s fittings.

Thank goodness Jimmy carries tools and knows how to use them.  What tools Jimmy didn’t have, our friend Butch Michaelsen in Halway, Ore., had them.
