Off to a ‘Molded Fiberglass RV Gathering’ in Piney Woods of East Texas

Crockett_photosWe have the canoe strapped to the top of our rig and we are looking forward to a four-day adventure to eastern Texas’ Piney Woods area. We’re off today to the Pineknot “Molded Fiberglass RV Gathering at the Crockett Family Resort on Houston County Lake northwest of Crockett, Texas.

Although the rally consists almost entirely of Casita, Scamp, Bigfoot and Escape travel trailers–we do technically have a “molded fiberglass RV”–be it a Northern Lite 10.2 truck camper.

According to the event’s website there will be “numerous arts/crafts activities, a pet show, an educational (as well as very entertaining) Dutch oven cooking demonstration, and cat fish dinner.” People will be coming from Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, Florida and Washington state.
