A few days with friends in Utah

Share

It was extremely restful to get off the road for a few  days and catch up with a couple of friends in Utah.

Thanks to the gracious hospitality (and driveway) of Pam and Jamie, we were able to catch up on washing, checking e-mail, and posting an item or two.

One day they took us on a wonderful day hike to stretch our legs on the Wheeler Creek Trail in the Cache National Forest.

During our stay, Pam went the extra mile providing a series of amazing meals; while Jamie, an expert mechanic, did a 10-point check of our F-350 and alerted us to uneven wear on our front tires. Thank you both. It was a great stopover on our Summer 2013 tour of seven western states.

  • I just read Jimmy’s funny view: “Julianne’s eyes have taken on a nervous darting about. I’m not sure what it’s going to take to help her hit her stride again. Somewhere between a full-service spa and an apartment within walking distance of a coffee shop might offer the cure.”

Sounds like you’ve hit your stride again without the spa or coffee shop.

I’m envious of the “mountain elevations that make our lungs tremble.” It’s been a while since I’ve felt a mountain elevation. It’s a worthwhile trade for being off the grid.
