What a find for snowbirds.
The Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park was listed in the AAA RV Camping book. Too expensive for “Free Camping.”
The Park is located 3 miles south of Fredericksburg, TX, on State Highway 16 South toward Kerrville.
We pulled into the RV Campground around 4 p.m with black clouds thickening overhead, winds blowing and, according to the local NPR station, an 80-percent chance of thunderstorms. We wanted to hunker down before ‘anything’ broke loose.
Cost is $25/night with full hookups, also hot showers. Then we noticed all the people. It seems this park–because of its proximity to historic Fredericksburg, the Texas Hill Country, Lyndon B. Johnson’s family ranch, Austin and a golf course–this is a place that attracts winter RVers. Cost–only $300/month.

quite right, 25$ is very expensive for rv camping, as the normal rates are 10$ for a night time stay.
