Washington State ‘Bill would kill bans on living in motor homes’ fulltime

Dan Voelpel writes in The (Tacoma, Wash.) News Tribune: “Many cities and counties, including Pierce County, prohibit us from living permanently in RVs even in mobile home parks.”

Enter (Washington State) House Bill 1227.

“In this current housing environment and the economic reality we are in, there will be an increased incidence of people living in their recreational vehicles,” said bill sponsor Rep. Larry Springer, D-Kirkland, “and I don’t want cities or counties to preclude mobile home parks from allowing (RV dwellers) to situate on a quasi-permanent basis in a mobile home park.”
