Canadian ‘Cooking Ladies’ hit small bump on long road trip through U.S.A.

A recent posting on the Cooking Ladiesblog tells of the two Canadian cookbook authors being sidetracked on a Mississippi highway with a small bit of mechanical problems.

With the help of a couple Southern gentlemen, the ladies where back on their promotional tour of the U.S.A.

The Cooking Ladies, Phyllis Hinz and Lamont Mackay, are old hands at traveling long distances in a 40-foot motorhome.

In 2008 they tackled a 8,700-mile, summer-long promotional trip that had them traveling from Ontario, Canada to British Columbia and back.

Their 2009 trip currently has them traversing the Southern regiona of the United States.

The women have published several cookbooks incluidng two “Recipes from the Road.”
