Left Kartchner Caverns for Colorado River

Share

After taking the better part of two days to engineer a way to securely stow the Porta-Bote on top of the Lance, we’re deadheading into Buckskin Mountain State Park on the Colorado River, north of Parker, AZ.

We stayed more than a week at Kartchner Caverns State Park, not just because of the location, but because of our gracious friend and campground host Mike Fousie and Blue, his brilliant and handsome Miniature Schnauzer sidekick.

Mike, a retired television photojournalist, is an incredible still and film photographer whose creative Web site is LightCurve.com. Today he posted a surprise entry about our stay. Check it out here.
