RV shows are popping up across the U.S.A. and many promoters are using special incentives to pull in potential customers.
At the Grand Rapids Camper, Travel & RV Show, opening today for its four-day run, folks will see six vintage travel trailers of local collectors Ken and Petronella Faber.
Members of the Tin Can Tourists, the Fabers have traveled around the country in antique car and travel-trailer caravans.
Faber is currently restoring a 1930s Palace trailer for the Alfred Sloan Museum.
An added bonus are several fully-restored, classic tow vehicles including a 1937 Buick Special sedan, a 1955 GMC pickup, and a 1963 Chevrolet Impala.
Oh yes, the show also features 300 new motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, truck campers and folding camping trailers from West Michigan dealers. It runs at DeVos Place in downtown Grand Rapids, today through Sunday, Jan. 18.
