+KayTomSeliskar_Yuma_JulianneGCraneTom and Kay Seliskar began living on-the-road in their mid-40s. Now, more than 19 years later they continue their nomadic lifestyle.

After years of crisscrossing North America, their favorite RVing memories evolves around boondocking in beautiful scenic places. “We continue to move and explore, often staying in a place for anything from a few days to a couple weeks. On rare occasions they might stay a month somewhere,” says Kay.

“We have been all around the US several times and have been in most of the Canadian provinces except for Northwest Territories and Nunavut,” she continues. “We prefer state parks, national forests, BLM and national parks. We love mountains or oceans in the summer and the desert southwest in the winter.”

Some of their favorite adventures include exploring New Zealand for five months in a 16-foot camper, “especially our time around Queenstown bungy jumping, sky diving, etc. (See Travelogues # 56-68 on their AppleseedEnterprises.com website.)

Their backgrounds and their book

Born in Wisconsin, Kay owned a training and consulting business in the computer field for many years; was a project management specialist; and was a professional speaker doing inspirational and motivational presentations. Since hitting the road, she continues to present seminars on spiritual growth and expanding consciousness.

Tom grew up near Ely, Minn., and worked in our family resort on White Iron Lake. “I’ve always loved being outdoors and connecting with nature,” he says. During his career he worked for a gas pipeline company as a compressor plant operator.  Since becoming a full-time RVer, he has focused his creativity as a professional landscape photographer.

Together they have created a book of Tom’s photography and Kay’s writing, ‘Spirit In Nature: A Book of Inspiration and Beauty.’  They have also presented slideshows of their travels at various RV parks.
