Amy and Rod Burkert of GoPetFriendly.com have been on the road full-time for more than six years, logging in more than 80,000 miles crisscrossing the country with their two animal companions: 9-year-old German shepherd, Buster, and 13-year-old Shar-Pei, Ty.
I first crossed paths with Amy and Rob about four years ago when they were camping at the iconic Pecan Grove RV Park in downtown Austin, Tex., (where I was catching up with longtime gal-pal and solo RVer Malia Lane).
Since then, Amy has been an expert resource every time I’ve written an article on traveling with pets. The other day I spotted an post they wrote on Winnebagolife.com about the “10 Must-Haves for RVing with Pets.” (click here.) It is an informative read and has several great pictures of Ty and Buster.
