Elizabeth Taylor’s custom Aljo trailer sold at auction
Mega-movie star Elizabeth Taylor’s “sumptuously decorated dressing room trailer – commissioned by 20th Century Fox for use by Dame Elizabeth whilst filming the movie Cleopatra – sold at auction (recently) for $42,000,” according to an item by Julian Gothard on Examiner.com
The 36-foot pink Aljo trailer was built by C.T. McCreary’s El Monte, California-based Modernistic Industries for about $75,000 (over $560,000 in today’s money).
