‘Extreme Makeover: Trailer Edition’ fantastic idea for returning vets

Share

Here is a great project that could easily be replicated in communities across the country for deserving vets returning home from overseas …

Friends of an Idaho National Guardsman are rolling up their sleeves to refurbish a 1960s Shasta travel trailer so that he can go camping with his family when he returns from serving in Iran, according to an article by Jim Camden in Saturday’s Spokesman-Review.

“All Tristan talks about is coming home and going camping,” said Brittany Nielsen, who talks with her husband regularly via Skype.

“This is the least I can do to help a guy who’s doing a lot for his country,” said Mark Mitchell of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Lend a hand: Anyone interested in helping restore a camper trailer for returning Idaho National Guardsman Tristan Nielsen can contact Mark Mitchell at (208) 651-1491.

Or, why not start a similar project in your own city?
