2003_Herzogs_SpokaneTowerThe RVing Herzogs and I first crossed paths a dozen years ago when Brag, Amy and their two sons, Luke and Jesse (pictured in 2003), were traveling through Spokane, Wash., where I was writing about the RV lifestyle for the Spokesman Review newspaper.

“I can’t imagine a better way to travel with a family than in an RV,” Herzog said at the time. “We have found we can be very spontaneous traveling this way. If we spot a view or a park that looks interesting, we can stop and explore.”

Brad Herzog is author of more than 30 books, including dozens of books for children and a trilogy of travel memoirs.

2015_BradAmyHerzog_The traveling Herzogs came to my attention recently in a news release from Winnebago Industries announcing that Brad Herzog will be WinnebaGoLife‘s newest blog contributor.

“My family and I have traveled through 48 states and more than 100,000 miles in an RV, and always it has been a Winnebago, so I’m thrilled to be celebrating that experience by contributing to WinnebaGoLife,” said Herzog, who with his wife Amy has spent the past 16 summers traveling the country.

“I look forward to taking readers with us.”

This summer, the Herzogs will be visiting 11 states. Throughout their journey, they will be posting about their experiences at destinations such as Glacier National Park, the Black Hills of South Dakota and the Sawtooth Mountains.
