Thousands of events and activities are planned to help RVing families get reconnected with nature and America’s fantastic public lands during June — Great Outdoors Month.

“American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day®, the country’s largest celebration of trails. National Trails Day events will take place in every state across the country and will include hikes, biking and horseback rides, paddling trips, birdwatching, geocaching, gear demonstrations, stewardship projects and more.”

National Fishing & Boating Week, June 6-14

“National Fishing and Boating Week, a national celebration of fishing and boating, takes place the first full week of June every year. It highlights the importance of recreational boating and fishing in enhancing people’s’ quality of life and preserving our country’s natural beauty. It also is when most state’s offer their Free Fishing Days.”

National Get Outdoors Day, June 13

“GO Day” is designed to help you and your family get connected to nature and the outdoors.

National Marina Day, June 13

Welcome to the Water, “a nationwide boating event dedicated to grow boating participation across North America. Marine businesses collaborate to hold events to introduce the public to boating through on-water and landside activities at marinas in every corner of the country.”

Great Outdoors Corps Network Day of Service, June 19

During “Great Outdoors Month, a month dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the beauty of our natural landscapes, the Corps Network’s Day of Service provided an opportunity to inspire American’s to use service as a strategy to protect our nation’s great outdoors.”

Great American Campout, June 27 and all season long.

“Top National Wildlife Federation supporters have agreed to donate $1 for every person who participates in the Great American Campout – up to $100,000.
These donations will support our ongoing efforts to protect the great outdoors for all Americans.”
