dogtrailer_camperroadtripThose of you who live in the Seattle area, (including our canine friend in his teardrop trailer) mark your calendars for Sunday, Nov. 17. RVTravel.com holding an informal Open House at its RVbookstore.com warehouse from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., reports Chuck Woodbury, editor.

As an added enticement, they will be selling hundreds of slightly damaged or past editions of books and DVDs for between 25 cents and $2.

All of the proceeds will go to the local food bank. In addition, 20-percent of the sales of the regular titles will also go the the food bank. This, just in time for Thanksgiving for needy families in our community. If you wish to bring along a can of food and/or other non-perishable items, they will be passed along to the food bank.

The RVBookstore.com warehouse is located near the Salt Water Marsh nature area near the waterfront in Edmonds, Wash.

Just plug in the following address into your GPS: 170 West Dayton, Suite 103-B, Edmonds, WA 98020. Basically, from I-5, follow signs west toward the Kingston Ferry. They are located right near the ferry loading area.

If you live a distance away and want to make a visit to the Open House a two-day affair, according to Woodbury, the best RV park is in nearby Bothell, a 20-minute drive away (make reservations early as it fills up). The RVTravel.com warehouse is a mere three-minute walk from the Edmonds waterfront, so enjoy a stroll along the marina and beach, and grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants.
